I started this blog as a way to communicate with friends and family back home, but after seeing a surprising number of page views from people I don’t know, I guess I should tell you a little about myself.

My husband and I moved from Seattle to Japan on a one-year assignment for his job. I’m taking a break from my career and learning how to be a stay-at-home wife while also figuring out how to navigate a foreign country in a foreign language. This blog chronicles our weekend adventures as well as the daily stories that make up expat life. Let’s face it, this blog is also a form of therapy for me… it’s good to be able to see the humor in otherwise stressful situations.

Please enjoy the stories and feel free to comment or contact me if you have any questions about travel or living in Japan as a foreigner.
